The contents of the water-sampling crate are organized throughout the vest to provide easy access for frequently-used items and protection from the elements for expensive electronics.

The aquatic data probe is sleeved in an impact-resistant tube situated in a special back pocket. This design allows the probe to be safely stored when not in use and easily drawn when needed (much like a ninja's sword).

The cord is wound around the orange reel which can be rotated to the front, if needed, via an integrated belt.

A holster on the belt keeps the data-loguer within reach while freeing hands to perform other activities.

The rope and sampling tongs are connected to a loop on the vest via a retractable cord. This feature helps keep the rope and tongs out of the way when not in use yet still accessible.
